Djordje Davidovic, a 17-year-old student from Nis, central Serbia, won the title of junior champion in accordion playing at the prestigious World Cup in Spoleto, Italy. The competition was held from August 17 to 27. Djordje is a student of the Music School in Nis, in the class of professor Tijana Jovanović. He was qualified for this competition after winning the Serbian Competition and the International Accordeon Festival in Eastern Sarajevo. His 19-year-old sister Jelena is a student of the accordion at the Vienna Conservatory.
