Deputy Chief of the Serbian Army General Staff Milan Bjelica has received the Serbian officers who will soon replace their colleagues in UN peace missions. Five officers will have gone to Lebanon today to take over the duty of staff officers over the next six months. On Monday, four officers will depart for Liberia, and stay there for a year as military observers with the UN mission command. Besides these, members of the Serbian Army are also partaking in the peace missions in Congo, Ivory Coast and Cyprus. The competent officials in Belgrade have announced the possibility of increasing the numbers of Serbian troops in UN missions, with the utilizations of their own equipment and weaponry.
