The delegation of the Serbian Minstry of Defense and Army was on a four-day visit to the UN Peace mission in Lebanon, and had talks with representatives of the sector “East”, which features Serbian soldiers as members of the Spanish contingent. After the meeting with Spanish general and sector commander Julio Herrero, head of the Serbian delegation Goran Radovanovic has expressed belief that the armies of Serbia and Spain will continue and expand their cooperation within the UN mission. The delegation has also visited the bases in the jurisdiction of Spanish and Indian battalions, which are located in the zones with most critical points on the separation line between the Lebanese and Israeli armed forces. There are five officers of the Serbian Army serving in Lebanon.
