US Ambassador in Belgrade Mary Warlick and Serbian Deputy PM Rasim Ljajić agreed it was necessary that Serbia should join the World Trade Organization as soon as possible. It was announced from Ljajic’s cabinet that Warlick said the USA was ready to help Serbia remove any remaining obstacles towards full-fledged WTO membership. Ljajić, who is also the minister of trade and telecommunications, had talks with Warlick on the promotion of cooperation in the telecommunication field as well.
