The Serbian government’s Office for Kosmet has condemned all the incidents in the Province and demanded an investigation. The Office expressed concern over the obvious link between the statements of Pristina representatives on the conditioning or even an interruption of the dialogue with Belgrade and the frequent attacks mounted on Kosmet Serbs. The latest incident, when an explosive device was thrown at a Serb-owned restaurant in Kosovska Mitrovica, additionally increased the atmosphere of fear and distrust which has been prevailing in Kosovo for a long time now as a result of the constant and unpunished use of violence against Serbs. The perpetrators of the recent murder of two Serbs in the village of Talinovac, southern Kosmet and an attempted murder of Serb returnees in the village of Žač, western Kosmet, have not been found and brought to justice yet.
