On Tuesday, the UN Security Council will be discussing the latest report of UN Secretary General Bank Ki-Moon on Kosmet. Serbian PM Ivica Dačić is also to address the session and the Serbian delegation also includes Foreign Minister Ivan Mrkić. In his regular report, Ban assessed the situation in Kosovo in the past three months as peaceful, but fragile and the incidents that happened on June 28 as especially concerning. By those incidents, he meant the stoning of a bus with Serb children who were going to Gracanica and the excessive force used by the Kosovo police against Serbs who had come to attend Vidovdan celebrations and at whom the Kosovo police even opened fire. Another permanent problem is the small number of Serbs who have returned to Kosmet. In his report, Ban greets the concrete results of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, but expressed concern over the problems with the implementation of some of the agreements.
