Head of the Office for Kosmet Aleksandar Vulin has invited EULEX to reopen the investigation and find the perpetrators of the crime in Gorazdevac, near Pec in eastern Kosmet, in 2003, when Albanian extremists murdered two and wounded four Serb boys. Vulin has assessed it is incomprehensible that after so many years no suspects have been found and nobody has been convicted. It is impossible to create the atmosphere of trust and go for the lasting and sustainable solution, with the perpetrators of crimes against Serbs remaining unpunished forever, pointed Vulin. He has asked the international community to take over the responsibility for everything that happens in Kosmet and to provide same standards in protecting human rights for all inhabitants of the Province. Let us remind, on August 13, 2003, Albanian extremists set an ambush on the bank of the Bistrica River and killed two Serb youths while taking swim, and another four were wounded. The firearm shots killed Ivan Jovovic (19) and Pantelija Dakic (13), while Marko Bogicevic (19), Dragana Srbljak (13), Bogdan Bukumiric (14) and Djordje Ugrenovic (20) were seriously wounded.
