
US Ambassador in Belgrade Mary Warlick has visited the Serbian National Assembly, where she has had a meeting with parliament speaker Nebojsa Stefanovic.

On that occasion, Warlick has congratulated the parliament for beginning its work in the new composition, and expressed hope that the future cooperation between the highest Serbian political institution and American diplomatic representatives in Serbia will be good.
Serbian parliament speaker Nebojsa Stefanovic has thanked the US Ambassador for assistance, first and foremost in opening the national assembly towards the public, and for the projects that have enabled easier access to the electronic administration. He has pointed that Serbia will continue striving for stronger relations with USA, to which considerable contribution is given by meetings of this sort between the US diplomats and representatives of Serbian authorities.
Ambassador Warlick has expressed belief that among the priorities of the Serbian Parliament and Government will be the continuation of European integrations, as well as resuming the dialog of Belgrade and Pristina. While pointing that USA is interested in maintaining the bilateral cooperation with Serbia, Warlick has stressed the expectation that in the future Serbian priorities will be to strengthen the regional cooperation, continue the battle against crime and corruption and creating the conditions for the rule of the law and democracy in Serbia.
